get killed too quickly

hi.
just started playing and think this is a cool game.
but i keep getting killed within a few battles

when i buy armour it doesn't seem to be applied either

just go back to the town and heal between battles, maybe not each battle but when at 25% hp or something

And you need to equip your armor in the inventory

ah. i crafted some armour. do i then need to buy it once crafted?

if you go into your inventory then find the item you want to equip there should be 3 options right next to the item( you might not be able to read the text because some stats are in the way) the 1st is info: here you can see the stats of the item and what it is used for. 2nd is Equip: this is to equip the item, if you already have a item of the same kind equipped then it will swap those two and put the old item back in the inventory. 3rd is drop: with this option you can drop the item on the ground and it will be displayed similarly to the monster dropped items on the field you are currently on( you can use this if you want to pick up a item but dont have enough space)

just had another try and actually got further this time

And I am pretty sure you have not crafted an item but instead learned to craft it in the craftshop. To craft an item you have to find the material needed and then go into "Skills" (not "skills and abilities") and find the skill "craft" click it, select the item you want to craft and select the materials you want to use

i was you early for it I feel

You will need pickaxes, knifes, chopping axes and other tools (you can buy those in the shop in a town) to obtain the different materials.

mmm... still can't craft any axes

ahh now I can buy some tools cool ... im sure they didn't show before :/ but ive not crafted them :/ odd
about level 9 now
